What is SAP Integration Suite?

SAP Integration Suite is SAP's integration platform as a service (iPaaS) on SAP Business Technology Platform. It connects SAP and non-SAP applications through capabilities such as Cloud Integration for message-based flows, API Management for governing APIs, event-driven integration, Integration Advisor for B2B mappings, and tooling to assess and migrate from SAP PI/PO.

SAP positions Integration Suite as the strategic successor to on-premise SAP Process Orchestration for most new integration work. It runs as a managed cloud service, so SAP operates the runtime and delivers updates continuously, while your team designs, deploys and monitors integration content in a browser-based workspace.

CapabilityWhat it is for
Cloud IntegrationIntegration flows that route, map and transform messages between systems
API ManagementPublishing, securing and governing APIs for internal and partner consumers
Event-driven integrationPublishing and subscribing to business events, including advanced event mesh
Integration AdvisorBuilding B2B and A2A mapping guidelines with machine-learning proposals
Migration Assessment and toolingAssessing PI/PO estates and converting supported scenarios

Most organisations start with Cloud Integration plus API Management and add events as their architecture matures. SAP also publishes prepackaged integration content on SAP Business Accelerator Hub for common SAP-to-SAP and SAP-to-third-party scenarios, which shortens delivery for standard processes.
